Goat Milk Soap

Why use handmade soap, created locally with fresh goat milk?

Our soap is carefully crafted with 3 ingredients: goat milk, lye, and oils. Short- and medium-chain fatty acids are easily absorbed by the skin, and real handmade soap provides a gentle but thorough clean without synthetic detergents or chemicals. As our family likes to say - it feels like you've used lotion after washing with these soaps!

Lauren ross cain

HERD/FLOCK HEALTH MANAGER

Find Hope Farm has been Lauren's dream since she was a child. The acquisition of the perfect property and marrying the ideal partner has made the dream a reality. Lauren is a registered veterinary technician, and graduated from Columbus State Community College's technician program. She also earned a Bachelor's from The Ohio State University in Animal and Meat Science and a Master's in Poultry Welfare. In addition to the daily routine on the farm, Lauren is responsible for the nutrition and health care protocols for the animals on the farm.

Todd Michael Cain

FARM MANAGER

Todd brings many years of management experience to the partnership at Find Hope Farm. His exceptional construction skills and creative problem solving capabilities make him an indispensable contributor to the daily operation of the farm. His favorite animals on the farm are his long-eared ladies, Toni, Catelyn, Morgan, and Sansa, but he does have a soft spot for his house kittens, Sirius, Crucio, and Star Lord.

Find Hope Farm sat vacant for a several years before the Cains acquired it. It was once part of a vast farm belonging to a local family, and The Lions Club park was donated by a previous owner of our farm. For many years, this farm was well loved and cared for by its stewards. We consider it our responsibility to restore it to its former state in an attempt to honor the long history of this unique and beautiful property.

The farm has everything we could ever wish for. We have 5.27 beautiful acres with a small creek running through the back. The old barn is built with 12"x12" hand hewn timbers, and the original slate roof tiles are still stored in the loft. Cedar shake shingles sit under the newer metal roof, and can still be seen from the interior of the barn. Our home is filled with little details that remind us of the memories that this house has built for us and others. We consider ourselves fortunate to make this our home, and we look forward to many more years here.
